As a young girl, we would often host family dinners and gatherings at our home 🏡 We were a family of 6, cramped up in a 3 bedroom apartment, and a part of an extended family they spans close to the hundreds! So needless to say, holidays were filled with “close” knit fun!
As the host family, we were responsible for the majority of the cooking- although I could never understand why because it seemed as though there was never enough for just us! But somehow and someway were it looked like we didn’t have enough, we always ended up with too much-and spent hours at the end of the night trying to figure out how to make room for it all in the fridge!
This was amazing to me! When I look back over those years, my mom and my grandma knew something that I was yet ready to learn- and that was how to ask God to multiply your “not enough” until it becomes “more than enough!”
As soon as they began cooking, while it was cooking, and when all the cooking had been complete- these beautiful, brown, and bold women would say, “ Lord, multiply this food so that we will have more than enough!” Out of nowhere I would see that single pan of baked macaroni and cheese, fried chicken, collard greens, and cornbread feed 50 of our closest family and friends! And with whatever was left over- my uncle would make sure every child in the complex had a hot meal that day!
Now you may say, “Well Sherraye, physically that’s not possible!” But with God all things are possible! What we honor in our spirit, God manifests in our natural!
Just like the young disciple boy who brought Jesus the two fish and 5 loaves, my Grandmother had the faith that God could take anything she had, and turn it into EVERYTHING that she needed!
This is the Principle of Multiplication over your life! You don’t have to limit it just to food-but apply it to every area of need in your life! Say in prayer with faith, “God multiply my ____, until there’s more than enough!” And watch God turn your little into your much! #Choose2Believe
